About This Wine
Castello Tricerchi's 2016 AD 1441 bottling has a magnificent depth. The perfumed aromatics, balance, and finesse are at the forefront, giving way to a luxurious and textural finish. It delivers a complex palate of vivid red fruit, minerals, flowers, dried herbs, and spices. There’s a rigorous structure, complemented by refined tannins and outstanding length. This is authentic, profound Brunello at the highest level of winemaking.Castello Tricerchi is located in the cooler northern section of Montalcino and follows organic farming with some biodynamic practices. The AD 1441 comes from the 0.4ha Sasso vineyard. Production is around 100 cases per vintage.
The 2016 is among our favorite Brunello vintages of the past decade. The wines are incredibly expressive, pure, and long. They're also bright and seriously structured. The 2016 AD 1441 flaunts the best that the vintage has to offer.
