2004 is an important year for the fanatically quality-committed cult Champagne grower, Cedric Bouchard and his Blanc de Noirs La Parcelle bottling. It’s the first year that Bouchard made the wine himself. Prior vintages were made by the vineyard's previous owner. Bouchard was so impressed by the wines, which were not commercialized before, that he decided to sell them under his name. Now that the tiny .73-hectare vineyard is under Bouchard’s obsessive care, one can expect the quality to improve even further from what is already a high standard.
