Ordering

Do you list all your wines on the web site?
We list most available wines, but if you're looking for something in particular, please call us or send an email.
What do the inventory statuses mean?
We work hard to represent an up-to-date inventory online. The reality is we sell wine many different ways, like over the phone, in the store, and online, and it takes the different systems some time to sync up.
In-Stock - Wines are in our 57th Street Store or Warehouse. It may take 1-2 business days to transfer the stock for pickup.
Pre-Arrival - Wines will be available to ship in the future; sometimes a few days, sometimes a few months. Please inquiry if you need the product for a specific occasion.
Limited Quantities - These products are subject to allocations and quantity limits per customer.
Do you offer quantity discounts?
Yes Crush offers a case discount when you order 12 or more bottles. Case discounts work like this:
-10% off Still Wines Under $55
-5% off Spirits and Sparkling Wine under $55
-Applied automatically in the cart
-Only apply to discountable products (prices ending in .99).
Every bottle in the cart counts towards the case discount, even if it is not discountable itself.
When will my credit card be charged?
All orders are subject to final confirmation. Your credit card will be authorized when you place your order and charged as soon as we confirm the order.
How do Pre-Arrivals work?
We do not sell wines we don’t own, plain and simple. Therefore, payment is due on pre-arrival wines at the time of purchase. We are collectors and wine enthusiasts ourselves – all of our wines are transported and stored in temperature-controlled spaces. That said, we will delay the shipment of any and all of our wines if we feel the temperature/season is unsafe. We’d rather that you receive your wine later, and perfect, than sooner and damaged.
While we guarantee the delivery of pre-arrival wines, many of the factors in the delivery are beyond our control. We do the best we can to estimate the expected arrival times of your wine, but we cannot guarantee any specific arrival dates. Please keep in mind, delays can arise unexpectedly. If at any time you feel you need to cancel your pre-arrival order, you may do so, and we will refund you the original purchase price less a 10% cancellation fee.
Which payment methods do you accept?
You may pay online using an accelerated checkout including Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or you may use any major credit card, like American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
Can you put together customized mixed cases?
We love too! And the more we get to know you, the better we're able to find wines that suit your tastes.

Online Account

I cannot seem to log in to my account. I tried the password retrieval option, but never received an email. How do I log in?
We began using new software on May 28, 2020 to manage our website. If this is your first time placing an order on crushwineco.com since that date, you may either
-create a new online account, or
-use the guest checkout option.
If you use the same email address that you've used in the past, we will associate your new orders with your existing account.
I've bought wines from you before, but don't see anything in my order history? Where is my order history?
We began using new software on May 28, 2020 to manage our website. Your online order history shows any orders you placed online from this point forward. Please email customer service and we would be happy to send you a complete listing of any orders prior to this date and any orders placed over the phone or via email.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you deliver or ship wine?
Yes! Crush can arrange for your wine to ship almost anywhere in the world. See below for additional details.
Do you deliver or ship spirits?
Spirits only ship within New York State.
What does Ship Later mean at checkout?
Ship Later is an indication to hold your order, and pay for shipping later. The two most common uses are:
1) Waiting for cooler weather to ship, and
2) combining several orders together to ship a solid case (which is more cost effective).
Do you offer expedited shipping options?
Yes, please call or email for an estimate.

Free Deliveries within NYC

Crush is happy to offer free delivery to all five boroughs, as long as delivery minimums are met. All of our delivery minimums are outlined below:

Manhattan
There is a $50 pre-tax minimum for free deliveries within our "local" area - 42nd to 79th Streets and the East River to 6th Avenue. To place an order for same day delivery, we encourage you to call the store at (212) 980-9463. Please note that rush fees may apply for rush deliveries.

For Manhattan deliveries beyond our local area, certain pre-tax minimums must be met for free, next day delivery:
Below 96th Street: $150 minimum or $15 delivery charge
Between 96th Street &125th Street: $250 minimum or $25 delivery charge
Above 125th Street: $300 minimum or $40 delivery charge

After 8pm on Weekdays: Additional $10 fee

Outer Boroughs
Free shipping is provided to all outer boroughs for orders that meet the $200 minimum. We cannot guarantee windows for any shipments, and an adult signature is required.

For courier service delivery to Brooklyn, Queens, or the Bronx, the following pre-tax minimums apply:
Bronx: $450 minimum or $45 delivery charge
Brooklyn and Queens: $300 minimum or $40 delivery charge

Additional Fees
Rush / Same Day Delivery: Fees apply
After 8 pm on Weekdays: Additional $10 fee

Shipments within the US

Shipment is available by ground or air Monday through Friday.

Crush Wine & Spirits does not, as a business, ship wine outside of New York State. We are happy, however, to coordinate shipment of your wine, by you, to any location in the U.S. or abroad (for international shipping, see below). By authorizing shipment of your wine, you are allowing Crush to engage a third party common carrier on your behalf. We provide all shipping coordination as a free service and do not profit from any shipping arrangements we make for you. Insurance (for breakage only) will be added to ALL shipments at an additional charge unless you assume all responsibility for breakage during shipment.

Shipment is available by ground or air Monday through Friday.

If you require immediate or rush delivery of your wines, including Saturday delivery please request it. Crush does not make an additional profit on accelerated delivery options.

International Shipments

Rates for international shipments start at $150/btl and $300/case (based on standard 750-ml. bottle at 3 lbs. [1.3 kilos] per bottle) plus insurance & duty.

Shipping Terms / Fine Print

Title on all Wine passes to the buyer at the time of purchase in the state of New York. If you require that your wine be shipped, you authorize Crush Wine & Spirits to engage a common carrier to deliver the wine on your behalf. IF YOU CHOOSE TO SHIP YOUR WINE TO A NON-RECIPROCAL STATE, YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSILITY FOR COMPLYING WITH YOUR STATE'S LAWS REGARDING ALCOHOL SHIPMENTS.

Again, you must be 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Crush Wine & Spirits. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an "Adult Signature Required" sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our merchandise is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This means that you will have to be present at the time of delivery.

Because we have no control over the temperature conditions at any 3rd party carriers' warehouses, we always attempt to deliver wines to our 3rd party carrier at the beginning of each week so that you can receive your wine before the weekend. As a result, your wine may not be delivered to our 3rd party carrier the day that you place your order. Please understand that during business hours, your orders are immediately packaged and scheduled for delivery, but may be delayed until ideal conditions for shipment arise.

Some of our wines are sold on a "pre-arrival" or "futures" basis. These products are explicitly indicated as "pre-arrivals" on our Web site, email newsletter and catalog, along with the expected (but not guaranteed) arrival dates. Crush will notify you by phone or email when yourpre-arrivals have arrived and are ready to be shipped. You will be given the opportunity to coordinate the proper delivery or shipping address and method (we don't automatically ship out wines when they arrive without contacting you first). Your are reminded that various states impose limitations on the quantity of alcoholic beverages which may be purchased and brought into their jurisdiction without requiring the purchaser, the seller or the shipper to possess certain licenses or permits. Crush Wine & Spirits, does NOT, as a condition of sale, assume any obligation nor bear any responsibility whatsoever for applying for or obtaining any such permits or licenses. Therefore, you are strongly advised to investigate such limitations and to determine the manner in which alcoholic beverages may lawfully be brought into states other than New York. Your are responsible for all applicable excise, use and sales taxes due to your state related to the purchase of any taxable goods.

Crush Wine & Spirits makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of New York. The Buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wines and is responsible for any loss or damage to goods once they have left our premises. By placing an order, you authorize Crush to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.

Shipping Seasons

To ensure that your wine is transported safely and arrives in perfect condition, we’re extremely sensitive to the temperatures in which we ship. Therefore, we generally don’t ship wine during the winter or summer months to avoid damage that can occur from extreme heat or cold.

We have two main shipping seasons: March - June and September - November. Of course, specific dates depend on weather patterns, time in transit and your location.

If you purchase wine during the winter or summer months, we’re happy to store it free of charge in our temperature-controlled warehouse until the next shipping season. When temperatures are suitable for shipping, we will reach out to coordinate a shipment.

If temperatures are too cold or too hot to ship, but you’d like to ship your wine immediately, we can look for a window to safely ship your bottles via 2nd Day Air or Overnight. You also have the option of signing a temperature waiver, which releases Crush from any liability should the wine become damaged in transit. Once we’ve received the signed waiver, we will ship your bottles at your convenience, via the method of your choosing.

Please note that we have limited storage space available, so if we do not hear from you during the next shipping season, we reserve the right to charge you for storage. You can read more about our temporary storage policies here.
