100 Year-Old Vines, 0.44ha
Burgundy Masterpiece

Posted by Ian McFadden

We recently drank a bottle of the 2014 Charmes and were blown away by it.

The bottle was so impressive that I immediately went on the hunt for more of it.

Sadly, Bachelet's tiny 0.44ha parcel of hundred year-old vines only yields around 180 cases in any given vintage. Putting our small parcel together has not been easy.

As we've said many times before, when Bachelet's Charmes is in its zone, it has few peers. It's wickedly complex, deeply mysterious and insanely powerful, yet manages to maintain an ultra-clear, super-elegant balance.

The 2014 dramatizes how profound and seductive this bottle can be. There's an explosive compexity of dark fruits, smokey minerals, spice, earth, and floral notes. This is all delivered with incredible precision, finesse, and impact. Simply put, Bachelet's Charmes is one of the greatest wines of Burgundy.

Bachelet's Charmes is among the rarest treasures of Burgundy. I'm very happy to offer a top example of this great wine. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
