Each vintage we devote a lot of energy searching for cuvée Camille. The wine comes from a mere 1ha parcel, so finding enough for an offering is always an adventure.
Today, I'm happy to offer the 2021 Cuvée Camille in both bottles and magnums. The best pricing is on mixed 3-packs (2 750s and 1 magnum).
Camille comes from the Côte du Py vineyard, one of Beaujolais' best and, thanks to Foillard, most famous sites. Lapierre lays bare all of the class that Côte du Py is capable of. It delivers the site's spiced wild cherry signature with captivating detail and vividness.
The 2021 Camille has a beautiful soaring verve and a gorgeously suave texture. There's a very bright and floral presentation of wild cherry and dark minerality. It delivers very appealing drinkability and levity.
It probably goes without saying that quantities are very limited. There's never enough cuvée Camille to go around.
