2012 Ganevat Savagnin
Chalasses Marnes Bleues

Taste through Ganevat's huge lineup and it's a safe bet that Marnes Bleues is one of the standouts.

Ganevat is never shy on profundity, but the Savagnin Marnes Bleues is the bottle that I've drunk the most of. It's always a favorite.

To a very small group of Jura supporters, I'm happy to offer Ganevat's 2012 Savagnin Marnes Bleues for $69.95 per bottle.

To say that Ganevat's popularity has exploded over the past few years is to state the obvious. The fact remains that finding these wines in quantity is extremely hard. Currently, there are only two other listings for the Marnes Bleues in the U.S.

Blue marl (marnes bleues) is thought to be the ideal soil for Savagnin. With his fanatic vineyard work and old vines, Ganevat certainly makes a case for blue marl producing special Savagnin.

Especially so in 2012. Ganevat's 2012s are at once complex and glimmeringly pristine. There's density, complicated layers and a levity inducing zing. Of course, the Savagnin boasts a particularly impressive cut. With that comes a vast assortment of herbs, moss, citrus and mountain stream minerality.

As is always the case with Ganevat, quantities are very limited. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
