I'll make this quick. Anytime that we offer Tribut, we brace ourselves for a quick sell out.
Tribut's wines have long been aggressively hunted down by those in the know. If they haven't quite achieved the status that they deserve, it's because they tend to disappear from the market.
As we've said in the past, it's very easy to detect a kinship with the wines of Dauvissat. In Tribut, you encounter a similar classically structured and deeply complex Chablis minerality.

This isn't accidental. Laurent Tribut married Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat, the daughter of René Dauvissat. The Dauvissats purchased choice parcels to give to their children to become winemakers, which is the land Laurent and Marie-Clotilde farm, and opened up their cellar to them.
It's easy to understand why Tribut's Chablis rarely sees the light of day. Today, we're happy to offer two vintages of Tribut's 1er Cru Beauroy, 2016, and 2017.
In 2016, the dramatically reduced yields made a tough situation into something painful. Production was down by 50% or more. It's unfortunate because Tribut quite possibly made the wines of the 2016 vintage.
The 2016 Beauroy is deeply concentrated with a mineral-laden and cool fruit profile. There's a textural imprint of stony minerality and saline streak. The wine is further animated by currents of citrus.
Tribut's 2017s are stunning. They have the richness and presence of the vintage with an intense salty, Chablisienne minerality coursing through it. The 2017 Beauroy is the genuine article, boasting oceanic notes and citrus. There's a beautiful refinement and focus to the wines. The total package is very compelling.
