The 2016 Steinertal puts front and center what makes this site in Alzinger's hands so special. This is a vivacious, extrovertedly mineral and emphatically intricate version of the wine.

Alzinger's Steinertal is one of the great wines of Austria. It delivers an incredibly finessed and delineated expression of minerals, flowers and fruit. There's an intangible sense of completeness to this wine.

Finding enough wine for an offer was no easy task and in reality the quantities available remain very small.

The 2016 Steinertal is a concentrated and nervy version of the wine. The minerality possesses a serious textural imprint. What's amazing about the 2016 is the combination of presence and agility.

Alzinger produces some of our favorite wines in all of Austria. I strongly encourage you to check out Leo Alzinger's interview on I'll Drink to That! It's a fascinating listen with tons of information about the history of the estate and top vintages.

The catch with Alzinger is that he only has 9ha and the wines are doled out in painfully small quantities. The Steinertal are typically allocated to top retailers and restaurants in 6-24 bottle quantities. We'll likely have to allocate. Please give us your ideal order and we'll do as best as we can.
