Today, we pay tribute to this vineyard, the stoniest of Huët's sites, that yields wines of the grandest architecture with their incredible 2020 Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec.

The short story is that this is the most impressive Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec that we've tasted in many years.
We tracked an opened bottle over a couple of days and we were blown away each time that we tasted it. The 2020 combines intensity, precision, and soaring finesse. It's a brilliant example of the wine.
This is a wine that drives Bourg's chalky minerality home. The wine is electric, penetrating, and multifaceted. The ultra-fine presentation is infused with bright citrus and round stone fruits.
It is always humbling to write about Huët's wines. They are one of the great estates of France with nearly a century of history turning out mesmerizing and long-lived Chenin Blanc. With so many young producers working incredibly hard, it's easy to forget how exciting Huët's wines can be, not to mention how much value they offer. The 2020 Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec represents Huët in top form.
