The wines are simply brilliant. They have blazing clarity and heartbreaking finesse.
In any vintage, Roulot's Meursault is world-class. It is razor-sharp, indisputably noble, and emphatically mineral. Roulot makes some of the most riveting expressions of Chardonnay on earth, and the Meursault Villages makes this clear.
The fact that Roulot's Meursault exists on its own plane isn't surprising. Besides being one of the masters of Chardonnay, Jean-Marc Roulot sources the Meursault from great lieu-dits. The majority comes from Clos de la Baronne, with the remainder coming from Les Gruyaches, Narvaux, Sous la Velle, and Les Crotots.
The 2024 Meursault is really impressive. It possesses a mineral purity and complexity that's just shocking. The laser-like focus, kinetic energy, and incredible finesse are impossible to deny.
This is an extraordinary vintage for Roulot's Meursault Villages. I'm really happy to have the opportunity to offer the wine. It should not be missed.
