The rare "l'Ettonante" is a multi-vintage cuvée including wines a decade old; it is a deep and mysterious Champagne that keeps you coming back.
In the end, the depth and complexity of the palate presents something that's just beyond reach - something that you just can't get to the bottom of.
The “l’Ettonante” is a seductive and mysterious Champagne that flaunts a simply mesmerizing range of flavors. It's a multi-vintage cuvée stretching from 2013 to 1998; the wine offers an incredibly fine-knit midpalate, a beguiling tapestry of flavors that range from ripe dark-citrus notes, bergamot orange, black tea, and brioche to a myriad of floral spices.
The current-release 2015 comes to the table with a ripe and powerful acidity that animates the wine's multidimensional personality.
Noël and Magali Bazin's Champagnes are not easy to find. This husband-and-wife team farm only four hectares and they have no desire to grow. We emailed about their “Unanime” a few years ago; it remains one of our most successful Champagne offerings, ever.
The Bazins produce around 40 cases of "l'Ettonante", and only a few cases come to the U.S. So stock up now; it's the season after all. Please give us your maximum order, though keep in mind we may have to allocate.
To order, email offers@crushwineco.com or call the store at (212) 980-9463.
