Petits Monts is, literally, a stone's throw away from La Romanée and Richebourg.
Like many others, Petits Monts is one of my favorite bottles from Drouhin.
It delivers the elegant, spice inflected complexity and outright class that you'd expect from its Grand Cru neighbors. You get a seamless, suave, and graceful wine that's presented with pitch-perfect harmony.
Like Roumier's Cras and Fourrier's CSJ, this is one of those 1er Crus with a rabid following.
Drouhin nailed the vintage. Their delicate, graceful, and pure style really excelled in 2018, and the Petits Monts is one of the high points of the collection. There's something undeniably regal about the wine with its concentrated velvety texture, extraordinary lift, and perfume.
Offers for Drouhin's Petits Monts are essentially guaranteed to sell out. The quantities available for the 2018 are even more limited than usual. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.

Burghound: "A restrained but still quite spicy nose blends a mix of dark currant and plum with plenty of floral, tea and exotic nuances. The middle weight flavors are not as dense as those of the Cazetiers, but they are notably more refined while displaying focused power on the classy and impressively long finale. This is a beautiful blend of punch and finesse and a wine that should age effortlessly.."
