Outrageous Purity and Value
2010 Conti Costanti Brunello di Montalcino
"There is a prism-like sense of transparency allied to pure power in the 2010 that is impossible to miss.
Readers who can find the 2010 should not hesitate; it is a must-have." -Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
When it comes to deeply traditional and well-priced Brunello, it doesn't get much better than Costanti.
I was reminded about how fond I am of Costanti when I drank a stunning 1990 a few weeks ago. Of course, I have huge expectations for the 2010.
By now, I suppose that the 2010 Brunello vintage doesn't need much coverage. Every offer we've done has sold out quickly. All I'll say here is that the vintage is truly extraordinary in its purity and completeness.
2010 is a vintage that synced up perfectly with Costanti's style. Costanti is all about a pristine, slow to evolve, classical expression of Brunello. This is exactly how I like my Brunellos.
Antonio Galloni's tasting note gets to the heart of the matter: "There is a prism-like sense of transparency allied to pure power."
For me, this is definitely a don't miss. I have no trouble imagining the 2010 Costanti evolving beautifully for the next few decades. I should caution you that quantities are extremely limited. Please give us your ideal order and we'll do our best.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media: "Costanti's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is stunning. Dark, powerful and mysterious in the glass, the 2010 captivates all the senses with its breathtaking beauty and layered, multi-dimensional personality. Lavender, violets, savory herbs, smoke, plums and graphite flow through to the rich, explosive finish. There is a prism-like sense of transparency allied to pure power in the 2010 that is impossible miss. Readers who can find the 2010 should not hesitate; it is a must-have. While many 2010s are approachable today, the Costanti's 2010 is not; it is a wine for the cellar."
