GRAND CRU MAGS WELL UNDER $200
2008 Bouchard Le Corton MAGNUMS
Simply Extraordinary Pricing on the PERFECT Format

Now this is an interesting phrase:
"Value Burgundy Grand Cru Magnums."

It's an unlikely phrase, a word-pairing we've never used before.

This is a limited, limited, limited offering... a small set of 2008 Bouchard Le Corton magnums at only $155 bucks.

We're always looing for great magnums (affordable or not) - and this wine, this format, and this price, struck us as a magic little find. This is an affordable gem (in the context of Grand Cru Burgundy mags) to put down for a few years and to laugh in 10 years at how little you paid... and how very, very good the wine is.

Bouchard has been on a serious roll under Philippe Prost in the last decade - their 2008s are beautiful, pure and soaring. The Burghound review below speaks to the gravitas this wine deserves.

If Bouchard has flown a bit under the radar, the biggest fans of Burgundy are all starting to catch on to these broad-scaled, beautifully textured, AGEWORTHY, honest Burgundies. The Le Corton is a big, structured wine, equal parts fruit and mineral, an uncanny transparency and in this vintage, serious lift and energy.

We'll keep it very short - we have literally just a handful of these magnums to offer today to those who can most quickly clear some space in the cellar. Please email us at offers@crushwineco.com - quickly - or give us a call at the store at (212) 980-9463 to order.

2008 Bouchard Le Corton MAGS

Special Email Magnum (1.5L) Price: $154.95
No compare-at for 1.5Ls available in the country. FIFTHS go for $77-130.

Burghound: "Relatively generous but not dominant wood intrudes upon the very ripe plum, cassis and floral aromas lead to extremely rich, opulent and palate drenching broad-scaled flavors that possess more dry extract than any wine to this point and possibly in the entire range, all wrapped in a balanced, long and ultra serious finish. Note the suggested drinking window date and I'm not completely convinced that is necessarily long enough."
