Jamet’s Côte-Rôtie hits a level of gracefulness and agility that’s reminiscent of Burgundy.
Jamet's 2014 Côte-Rôtie is a striking example. It boasts an incredible amount of finesse, clarity and textural appeal.
I jumped on the opportunity to buy half-bottles of the 2014 Côte-Rôtie. This is a gorgeous and incredibly fun to drink vintage of Jamet. It's exactly the sort of vintage that I like to have around in half-bottles.
This is Côte-Rôtie in full glory, flaunting a poise and detailed expression of minerals, herbs, spice, savory elements and florality. The aromatics simply soar.
The 2014 is a powerful, layered and incredibly refined vintage for the wine. There's density and lift. It offers a staining dark mineral imprint with a wide spectrum of florals, spice and bright and dark fruits. The way that it works on a grand scale, but still has such energy and cut is really impressive.
Jamet is one of the top names in the northern Rhône. There's no point dragging this out. I'll just mention that we have a very limited amount of half-bottles, so I'd advise that you move quickly on this.
