Niellon's 2013s are some of the best wines we've tasted from the domaine in almost a decade.
We've devoted lots of ink to the 2013 White Burgundy vintage. The wines offer a crystalline expression of minerality and beautiful sleek elegance. For purists, it's a very compelling, attention-grabbing vintage.
Niellon's 2013s take the vintage's agility and brightness and add a punch and intensity that only the best wines achieve.

For me, Niellon's 1er Crus represent a sweet spot - a place where value, quality and breeding intersect in a profound way.
Niellon is a very small estate of only 6ha. The holdings in Maltroie and Chaumées are tiny, a half of a hectare each. These are wines that disappear from the market quickly.
Niellon's signature is a combination of weight, depth, and saturating presence on the palate with a strong streak of minerality. The 2013 Maltroie and Chaumées represent purely distilled variations on this theme. Maltroie is the brighter and more lifted of the two, delivering haunting floral and citrus notes. The Chaumées offers more density and impact, with amazing delineation.
