"In short, Roulot's 2012s are among the best wines of the vintage." -Burghound
2012 Roulot Meursault
It's really hard for me to comprehend that quality is still on an upswing at Roulot.
It's difficult to imagine Roulot turning out better wines than his 2011s. Then you taste his 2012s...
It's definitely been an amazing thing to watch. Roulot just keeps on going from strength to strength. The argument that Roulot made the wines of the vintage in 2012 is a really easy one to make.

There's no way around Roulot's status as the master of Meursault. Nor is there any way to avoid his huge fan club around the world. Indeed, finding Roulot in quantity is one of the tougher enterprises you can undertake.
You taste the wines and all of this makes sense. Roulot makes some of the most noble and spellbinding examples of Chardonnay on the planet.
The 2012 Meursault showcases everything that makes the collection this vintage extra-special. There's so much precision, length and harmony to the wine. There's also this cutting, mineral elegance (that I love) accented by stone fruits, flowers and ripe citrus notes.
The disconnect between supply and demand with Roulot is a harsh reality. I'm going to stop writing and not fan the fire further. To wrap up, I should say that word is definitely out on Roulot's 2012s. I encourage you to get an order in quickly and please know that we may need to allocate.

Burghound: "An attractively layered nose offers up a pretty mix of floral, pear and white peach aromas. There is a soft and round, indeed even plush mouth feel to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess good complexity and vibrancy before terminating in a citrus-infused finish where the citrus component adds a sense of lift."
