"Amongst the most magical wines to be found anywhere in Germany in this exceptional vintage!" -John Gilman

Basically, wherever you find Schloss Lieser's name, you'll find a line something like, "One of the Mosel's best."

Without a doubt, Thomas Haag and Schloss Lieser are turning out some of the most compelling Mosel Rieslings out there, and Lieser's 2012 collection drives this point home.

We're doing special 4-pack pricing because this is a wine we believe you should have around in some quantity to watch evolve. The 2012 just has that much potential.

Lieser's 2012 BJS offers up a complex explosion of slate, citrus, herbs and spice. In true Lieser fashion, this is all delivered with beautiful precision, elegant sleekness and unyielding tautness. It's really beautiful.

Out of Lieser's two top sites, Niederberg Helden and Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenhuhr, the latter delivers the more elegant and finer wines. The pinpoint detail and ultra-cool, filigreed nature of BJS really comes out in the 2012.

The Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr is one of the Mosel's great sites. The Fritz Haag estate, with its relentless focus on the Juffer Sonnenuhr, has basically guaranteed the vineyard's stature. When Thomas Haag left the family circle and went out on his own, revamping the old Schloss Lieser estate, he was given some of his father's plots in the Juffer Sonnenuhr. He wasted no time turning out examples that rival the best the site has produced.

The 2012 Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Spätlese is a testimony to just how skilled and dedicated Thomas Haag is and the finely tuned, beautifully expressive wines he's releasing from this historic vineyard.
