Boisson's Aligoté has one of the strongest followings at Crush.
The Boisson family is making some of the most exciting wines in Burgundy. Their Aligoté highlights the incredible level of winemaking at Boisson.
If Aligoté has a reputation for producing work-a-day wines, Boisson's is something entirely different. It's a wine of thrilling cut and jagged minerality.
Boisson's Aligoté belongs to a small group of thoroughly compelling examples of the grape, like those of Bachelet, De Moor, and de Villaine.
We love Boisson's piercing and complex minerality that has a Chablis-like seabreeze character along with smoky and pulverized rock notes. The minerality is complemented by layered citrus notes of grapefruit, Meyer lemon, and lime.
The 2018 Aligoté represents all of these qualities amplified. In the riper vintage, the high acid and electric Aligoté grape thrived. It has a blazing acidity with an extra amount of polish and punch. The 2017 was one of the best examples of the wine that we tasted and the 2018 may actually be stronger.
This is one of our go-to white Burgundies. The verve, focus, and exacting detail keeps us returning to the bottle. I urge you to take advantage of this offering. Being able to offer Boisson's Aligoté is a luxury, and the immense fan club will come out to buy in quantity. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
