"An excellent showing: sappy and vibrant." - Stephen Tanzer

In vintages like 2015, something magical happens to Drouhin's villages wines.

Their Vosne performs incredibly well in riper, more concentrated vintages. Drouhin's hallmarks of finesse and purity find the perfect complement in warmer years. At the villages level, things are elevated in a big way.

I'm happy to offer Drouhin's 2015 Vosne-Romanée in magnums for $169.95 each.

2015 is one of the great red Burgundy vintages of the past three decades. It's an incredibly complete vintage. There's serious concentration, but with refined tannins and a staggering amount of freshness and elegance for such a ripe vintage.

The villages wines in 2015 are absolutely killer. Drouhin's Vosne drives this point home persuasively. The 2015 Vosne adroitly manages a balance of delicacy matched with plenty of supple, mid-palate weight. In classic Drouhin style, there is nothing exorbitantly flashy about this wine - just a really gorgeous, pure expression of one of Burgundy's greatest villages.

The 2015 Vosne offers a velvety, spice accented texture and a lovely amount of finesse. You get an incredible amount of Vosne perfume and serious presence and energy.

The level of interest in the 2015 vintage is really, really high and our supply of magnums is modest at best. We expect this to disappear quickly. To order, please reply to offers@crushwineco.com or call us at (212) 980-9463.

Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media: "Medium red. Noteworthy lift and urgency to the perfumed aromas of raspberry, cranberry, spices and flowers. At once more intense and more supple than the Gevrey villages, with the perfumed quality carrying through in the mouth. The red berry flavors are complicated by saline and graphite notes. Shows excellent slowly rising length for a village wine, not to mention very good integration of tannins. An excellent showing: sappy and vibrant."
