Soldera is one of those estates that transcend its region. These wines deserve to be compared to the greatest wines of the world - Conterno, G. Mascarello, Rousseau, Roumier, DRC. Those are exactly the wines that it rubs shoulders with in serious collectors' cellars.
This email is only going out to a very small group who've supported our high-end Italian program. Today we offer Soldera's 1998 Brunello Riserva at the lowest price in the nation. Finding back vintages for the Riserva is extremely difficult. To be honest, the small quantity on offer today would easily sell naturally, but we decided to do an offer so that people who've supported Italian program would have the first chance at it.
The aging curve of Soldera's Brunellos is legendary. The 1998 is just beginning to open up and enter into the initial stage of a very long drinking window.
Soldera's Brunellos are uncompromising and traditional; it's Sangiovese that electrifies the palate with a super-fine acidity shot through layers of tongue-staining blackberries, purple wildflowers and mountains of tannin.
The 1998 is an archetypal vintage for Soldera highlighting the transparent, ultra-pure, agility that makes it like no other Sangiovese out there.
