The 2019 Von der Fels seems destined to be one of the great vintages of the wine. You can expect an intricately sculpted Von der Fels with serious presence and loads of finesse. Von der Fels has a really impressive track record for aging on the mid-term (8-10 years), and it's a safe bet that the 2019 will age beautifully.
Klaus Peter Keller has said that 2019 was one of the best vintages of the past twenty years. The vintage produced concentrated, tactile wines with a gorgeous thread of acidity.
Allocations of Von der Fels were particularly tight in 2019. The concentration that the wines show comes at the cost of reduced yields. Von der Fels typically sells out quickly. This year it will be gone in a flash.
