“Smart consumers will snap up the best of these wines by the case”
That's Antonio Galloni's advice for 2015 Chianti.
When it comes to Castell’in Villa, going deep is something that we are emphatic about.
Castell’in Villa is one of the greatest producers of traditional Chianti Classico. Their 2015 Chianti Classico may be the most serious examples that we've tasted of this constantly stunning wine.
Castell’in Villa is defined by its harmony and precision. They have incredible verve, complexity, and purity of terroir. When it all comes together, it’s thrilling.
The 2015 vintage is a riper and more powerful one. Across the board, the wines have an uncommon amount of layered complexity and mid-palate heft.
It's also a vintage where Castell’in Villa's remarkable ability to craft Chianti with amazing grace and refinement shows. The 2015 Castell'in Villa Chianti Classico has a grander architecture and a little extra fleshy depth, but what's striking is how "low octane" the wine feels. There's a dancing finesse to the wine.
Castell'in Villa are blatantly compelling wines. I’ve recommended this wine to several serious collectors and they always come back for more. The last time we offered the wine we literally witnessed hundreds of bottles sold in a couple of hours.
In a vintage like 2015, I suggest that you stock up and watch the wine evolve beautifully for the next couple of decades. The special and very sharp 6-pack pricing is to encourage this.
