Since 2019, Trousselle has been our go-to for value in Burgundy. Still, the 2024 La Couleuvraire Blanc shocked us.
At as low as $31.95, it's a white Burgundy that I would gladly pay twice the price for.

Trousselle is a very small producer working in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. The appellation is large, but Trousselle’s vineyards are located in a prime valley between St. Aubin and St. Romain, a perfect area for producing high-quality Chardonnay. Trousselle’s La Couleuvraire is proof of this.
La Couleuvraire comes from a single vineyard outside the village of Baubigny. The 2024 offers a truly surprising level of refinement and joyful drinkability.
Trousselle is an extremely skilled viticulturist, and he works his vines organically with painstaking care. He’s also well respected in the region. In fact, he’s currently working with Pierre Boisson of Boisson-Vadot on a project in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, and he will be in charge of all of the farming.
We're very excited by the 2024 white Burgundies. The whites in this vintage have such beautiful balance and clarity.
In 2024, La Couleuvraire has a pristine mineral expression and a sleek finesse that belies its humble price point. The amount of class and presence is pretty crazy. When we tasted the 2024 a few weeks ago, both myself and the two other staff members who tasted the wine freaked out over it.
This is the best white Burgundy at this price point that I've tasted in many, many years. I suggest that you stock up on it. White Burgundy deals like this are really rare.
