To say that Cerrete is Bea's Grand Cru is simplistic, for sure, but not inaccurate.
Bea's importer, Neal Rosenthal, calls Cerrete: "Perhaps the greatest combination of height and exposition in the appellation."
Cerrete is Bea's highest elevation vineyard. The elevation brings out a wild intensity along with lift and elegance. The combination is killer.
Compared to the Sagrantino Pagliaro that we love, Cerrete is both more explosively complex and lighter on its feet.
There's something about the combination of detail, finesse, and unchained soaring complexity that makes Cerrete really compelling. It's a wine that seems to take the magic of Bea and distill it down to its essential components. The 2012 Cerrete beautifully delivers Bea's elegance and unruly complexity with notes of earth, spice, minerals, and herbs.
Since its first release in 2007, Bea's Cerrete has quickly gained a cult following. We don't expect our modest allocation to stick around for long. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
