D'Angerville's Champans is one of Burgundy's distance runners.
Every time we've had the opportunity to drink old Champans, they've been amazing. We’ve had bottles with fifty years of age that were still gorgeously fresh and completely stunning.

This explains why every vintage I always make it a point to cellar a healthy amount of Champans, especially in magnums.
As Burghound's note above makes clear, the 2018 Champans is a profoundly impressive bottle. Like all of the 2018s, this is a wine of serious punch and length. While Champans is known for its muscle and sheer density, the 2018 has a beautiful finesse with explosive and lifted aromatics. The combination of intensity and ethereal perfume is really impressive.
D'Angerville is one of the storied domaines of Burgundy. Along with Lafarge, it is one of Volnay's benchmarks. I'll close by simply saying that this is a stunning example of Champans. There's no doubt that this will evolve brilliantly in magnums.

Burghound: "This too is beautifully elegant with its ripe and pure aromas of essence of red cherry liqueur, violet and rose petal scents. The equally refined if a bit less mineral-inflected flavors possess excellent verve on the long and slightly less structured finish that also evidences a touch of warmth. This needs to develop more depth but the underlying material appears to be present for that to occur."
