This offer walks a fine line between two very different worlds.
First, this is Grand Cru red Burgundy; this is an aristocrat. Drouhin's 2007s are beautiful wines, supple, fresh, great intensity of fruit and the Clos St.-Denis is superb.
Second however, and perhaps of some importance this time of year, this is a party wine. This is Drouhin, this is Grand Cru, but it lands on your holiday table crazy-priced and ready to party.

As said above, Drouhin's 2007s are superb and the Clos St.-Denis highlights the textural elegance of this vintage, with a bit of that Chambolle satin and a bit of the firmness of Gevrey. Burgundy guru Clive Coates describes Clos St.-Denis verily: "The words supple and delicate spring to mind, as do fragrant and ‘feminine.’"
This really is what Burgundy should taste like, what it should feel like. Out of magnum, the bottle will look spectacular and drink even better on the holiday table. Even if that table is set for a small group of friends, any day of the week.
As a last caveat, I'd add that we may all be underestimating the potential of the 2007s (to say nothing of the format). Don't bury this in the cellar as a last will and testament for the grand kids - but at the same time this wine, again especially in magnum, has the balance and stuffing to be in prime form for another 5+ years pretty easily.
