There are few Burgundy producers that are as time-tested and have as loyal of a following as Barthod.
Barthod seems to always hit the mark, and as the wines age, it only becomes more obvious.

The issue is that quantities are always very limited, and fans snap them up quickly. I definitely don't expect this modest parcel of 2016 to stick around for long, and I won't belabor this offer too much.
This is one of my favorite purchases of the past couple of weeks. Barthod produced a really beautiful cast of 2016s.
Barthod's signatures are purity, density, and finesse. The 2016 Chambolle really flaunts these qualities. It has a wonderful clarity and punch, delivering a silky texture and buoyant length.
There's a rigor and beauty to the wine that's very rare. I suggest that you pick up a few bottles to watch it evolve over the next decade.
