Bertheau's wines are honest in the most commendable, purest way - there's no flash to them, and that's part of what makes them so captivating.

They are wines that feel as though they're without artifice. The wines are animated by a fine-ness, a delicacy. They speak softly but with captivating precision.

Today, we celebrate these singular and utterly captivating red Burgundies with an extensive list of the wines, including large formats. 

Bertheau's Chambolle is a bottle that I reach for often. The wine captures the lacy, perfumed delicacy of Chambolle so well. It is an expression of supreme gracefulness and understatement. Add some complexity and an extra dose of weightless intensity and the same thing can be said about Bertheau's Chambolle 1er Cru. 

The Chambolle 1er Cru Les Charmes gets to the beating heart of the domaine's style. It offers an incredible amount of purity and transparency. 

Les Amoureuses is the most sought-after wine in Bertheau’s stable. Collectors aggressively hunt it down. Bertheau's Amoureuses represents one of the great marriages between producer and site. Landing the wine in anything close to decent quantity is very difficult. Bertheau only has 0.32ha of the 1er Cru.

Finally, Bertheau produces one of my favorite examples of Bonnes-Mares. It offers up the Grand Cru's muscle along with a really impressive degree of finesse and agility.
