A few years ago, a friend poured me a glass of Arnaud Tessier's Meursault AC, and I was immediately intrigued. I've been buying the domaine's wines ever since. With each vintage, the wines have grown more precise while always gaining more depth.
Arnaud and Catherine Tessier's approach is simple. They have great sites that they farm with incredible care. The results are astounding.
Today, we're happy to offer Tessier's 2023 Meursault 1er Cru Le Poruzot Dessus.
The 1er Cru Poruzot is an east-facing vineyard with deep clay soils. The site produces lavish, layered, and deeply structured wines. The power and richness of Poruzot find their perfect match in Tessier's style.
The 2023 has a fine etched verve that dovetails beautifully with the volume and the intensity that the wine possesses. I really like the wine's purity and harmony. There's an honesty and poise that really announce that this is a special wine.
