Burgundy Magnums
D'Angerville, Bachelet, Lafon,
Ponsot, Roulot & More
Finding top Burgundy magnums isn't easy. Today, I'm happy to offer a brief list of rare Burgundy magnums.
Just to immediately drive home how rare these magnums are, I should mention that of the eleven wines on offer only one of them is available elsewhere.
It's hard for me not to highlight the 2011 Gouges Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les St. Georges magnum for $229.95. This is just a silly value: it's Nuits' top 1er Cru from a legendary domaine.
For the most part, I'm just going to let the list below do the talking. The cast of producers is simply that impressive-Roulot, Lafon, Ponsot, etc. There are a couple of wines that I do feel compelled to mention. First, there's d'Angerville's absolutely stunning 2011 Volnay Taillepieds. Then, there's Drouhin's 2011 Montrachet - Marquis de Laguiche, a wine that Burghound captures really well: "This is breathtaking in its intensity."
I've been slowly amassing this collection of mags and today seemed like the perfect time to gather them together for an offer.
As you can imagine, we're dealing with tiny quantities of each. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
