The sheer quality of the 2015 Burgundy vintage has captured everyone's attention. It's a fascinating vintage that offers a dream brew of concentration, ripeness and freshness.

Clair's 2015 Véroilles flaunts the bright clarity that the vintage can offer. It's uniquely exciting in that way. It offers clear red fruits, earth and a subtle underpinning of spice.

Bruno Clair's grandparents were owners of the legendary Clair-Dau estate, who held prime sites and produced amazing Burgundies, some of which continue to amaze to this day. For years, many of the family's top sites (Chambertin-Clos de Beze, Gevrey Clos St. Jacques and Bonnes Mares) were leased out, but Clair began working them again over a decade ago. With these tops sites in his possession, the domaine's wines have caught collector's attention for their signature of rigor and intensity.

Chambolle Véroilles is a site that's divided between Villages and 1er Cru status. The 1er Cru section sits next to Bonnes Mares. Clair's bottling comes from a section of Véroilles with particularly poor soils and that results in a seriously mineral and precise expression of Chambolle. What it may lack in grandeur of scale compared to its 1er Cru counterpart, it more than makes up for it with a pointed feminine grace. Chambolle is an appellation famous for its transparency and refinement. Clair's Véroilles take these qualities to a beautiful extreme.

This is a captivating expression of the 2015 Burgundy vintage and of Chambolle in general. The fact that it's sharply priced only makes it more attractive.
