Few wines capture the haunting beauty of Chambolle like Bertheau's Charmes does.

Few producers do purity and transparency better than Bertheau, and I've always loved the Charmes for how it dramatizes these qualities.

Bertheau's Charmes offers a perfect glimpse into what makes Bertheau so special. It delivers an incredible amount of finesse and beautiful refinement. The issue is that it comes from a 0.66ha parcel and can be maddening to track down.

In the warm 2018 vintage, Bertheau exploits all of the seductive textures that the year brought. The 2018 Charmes is graceful, incredibly nuanced, and agile. In short, this is a gorgeous and multidimensional example for Bertheau's Charmes.

Bertheau's wines are the archetypes of just how finessed and pure Burgundy can be. I'm always excited to have the opportunity to offer the wines, especially the Charmes. Based on history, I expect the 2018 to age amazingly well.
