Cuvée du Goulté was Ledru's top wine. It is simply a dynamite Champagne.
Ledru's Champagnes have become painfully rare since she retired in 2016. This very small parcel of the 2014 Goulté may be the last one that we'll see. Ledru was one of our favorite growers in Champagne and examples of her work are quickly disappearing from the market.
Ledru's Goulté is always a wine of intensity and pristine elegance. It possesses an unobstructed steely, chalky backbone and incredibly clear and floral accented red fruits.
Goulté is all Pinot Noir and sourced from her best parcels in Ambonnay, one of Champagne's best communes. All the vineyards are classified as Grand Cru. It's also based on the first juice to come out of the press, which is considered to be the finest.
The 2014 is an especially kinetic, refined, and deep expression of Goulté. It has beautifully textured minerality and deep, subtle complexity. It's high-toned with floral notes, spice, and Ambonnay's classic red fruits.
Before wrapping up, I want to emphasize that quantities are extremely limited. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
