Embarrassing Many a Grand Cru
2013 Coche-Dury Meursault

Coche-Dury's Meursault exists on its own plane. It marks a place where Burgundy's neat hierarchies crumble.

Coche-Dury's Meursault may very well be the greatest village wine on earth. There are Grand Crus that it puts to shame.

It hasn't gone unnoticed. Any time that we offer Coche-Dury's Meursault it always gets ugly and we have to make painful allocations.

This might sound trite, but Coche is special. The wines have an aristocratic flair, with a shocking combination of opulence and rigor. They are dramatic, densely mineral and possess a class and intensity that's heartbreaking.

The 2013 Meursault is beautifully elegant with a nice driving acidity and serious underlying structure. It's profoundly intricate in its interplay of fruit and textured minerality. Everything points to a very graceful and long aging curve.

I'm going to wrap this up. Coche-Dury Meursault can seem like a a ghost wine. It is rarely in the market and quickly disappears. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
