The hallmark here is aristocratic breeding with super-fine layers of fruit. It is authoritative in its presence for sure but carries its stature with stunning sophistication.
It is amazing how Comtes de Champagne Rosé delivers such a seductive texture while being so ethereal and perfumed.
I've always loved the 2006 Rosé for its shimmering clarity. There's an incredible cast of bright aromatics with a tactile minerality. The drive and finesse is amazing.
As Comtes de Champagne Rosé ages, magic happens. Mature examples combine a Burgundy-like earthiness and complexity with a shocking freshness. These are undoubtedly among the great Champagne drinking experiences. I have high hopes for the 2006. Everything is in place for a stunning Champagne in the next couple of decades.
