Cult Chablis:
2019 Tribut Chablis AC & 1er Cru Beauroy

Any time I see Tribut, I buy it.

Tribut's Chablis' are the genuine article and people have noticed.

Finding Tribut's 2019 has proved more difficult than past vintages. Clearly, word is out about how good the collection is in this vintage.

Today, I'm happy to offer a modest parcel of Tribut's 2019 Chablis and 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy.

What makes the 2019 Chablis so exciting is how the wines combine power and presence with verve and minerality. Tribut's 2019s have an incredible amount of punch and finesse.

The Chablis AC highlights the oceanic minerality and incisiveness of the wines in a way that we find very compelling. The 2019 Chablis is deeply concentrated with a mineral-laden profile. There's a textural imprint of chalk and a beautiful saline streak. The wine is further animated by currents of citrus. It finishes with plenty of punch and a nice tapering finesse.

The Beauroy has a richness and presence backed by an intense saline minerality. The 2019 flaunts these qualities.  There's generosity, but also a tactile and tension-filled spine that really animates the wine.

I'm going to keep this brief. Tribut's following is very strong. Given the excitement over 2019, I'm expecting a quick sell-out.

Burghound: "There are plenty of Chablis elements to the ripe, pretty and very fresh aromas of mostly pear and apple scents. There is fine richness to the supple, round and enveloping flavors that exude a refreshing salinity on the ever-so-mildly warm finish. This relatively forward effort should drink well on the younger side if desired."

2019 Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy
Special Bottle Price: $64.95
Burghound: "A more floral-suffused nose offers up notes of citrus rind, vaguely exotic white and yellow peach plus hints of iodine and spice. There is very good richness and intensity to the seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine length on the reasonably well-balanced and slightly firmer finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth.."
