Cult Chablis Revisited: 2019 Tribut Chablis

Tribut's Chablis AC is our go-to.

Tribut's signature is a complex Chablisienne minerality and sweeping notes of stone fruits, flowers, and a crackling acidity.

I recently secured a parcel of Tribut's 2020 Beauroy, which sold out in a flash, and this small parcel of 2019 Chablis AC was included in it. I was happy to snap it up.

What makes the 2019 Chablis so exciting is how the wines combine power and presence with verve and minerality. Tribut's 2019s have an incredible amount of punch and finesse.

The 2019 Chablis is deeply concentrated with a mineral-laden profile. There's a textural imprint of chalk and a beautiful saline streak. The wine is further animated by currents of citrus. It finishes with plenty of punch and a nice tapering finesse.

Tribut's Chablis AC has been an essential part of our Chablis program for years. Most people taste Tribut's Chablis and it immediately becomes a wine that they return to again and again. This is a very modest parcel and I expect it to disappear quickly.
