The Utopie Creative is some of the most extraordinary Sauvignon Blanc that we've tasted. There's incredible depth and a profound textural appeal. No comparisons quite work, but some type of cross between the wines of Dagueneau and Vatan comes to mind.
The 2021 Utopie Creative is absolutely brilliant. Barbou turned the vintage's cool profile and fresh acidity into an absolutely riveting wine. It's both enveloping and sleekly kinetic, with bright, almost red fruit notes, herbs, stone fruits, and a saline core. The profoundly complex layers are delivered seamlessly and with incredible transparency.
