The Utopie Creative is one of the most extraordinary examples of Sauvignon Blanc that we've tasted. There's incredible depth and a profound textural appeal. No comparisons quite work, but some type of cross between the wines of Dagueneau and Vatan comes to mind.
The 2023 Utopie Creative is absolutely brilliant. Barbou turned the vintage's richness into a sculpted and epic wine. It's both enveloping and sleekly kinetic, with bright, almost red fruit notes, herbs, stone fruits, and a saline core. The profoundly complex layers are delivered seamlessly and with incredible transparency.
