Stella di Campalto's Rosso is devastatingly good. The 2015 drives this point home. This isn't surprising. Each vintage a barrel of Brunello is declassified and released as Rosso di Montalcino. The first Stella di Campalto wine that we ever tasted was their 2005 Rosso, and we've been hooked ever since.
The 2015 Rosso is dazzling. It offers an incredible amount of clarity and poise. There's a lovely thread of minerality that carries through the wine. The aromatics really pop with floral notes, bright red fruits, and earthy notes. Overall, you get a shocking amount of lift and finesse.
