Direct from the Cellar - 20+ Years Old
1991 Lauer Riesling Sekt Reserve

Any time that we offer Lauer's aged Sekts, they disappear.

We just received a small parcel of the most recent release for the '91. I'm sure they will be gone by the end of the day.

Every time we've offered out Lauer's Sekt Reserve, it immediately sells out. We spend the next few months fielding emails and calls from people looking for more after they've tasted it.

Lauer's Sekt delivers exactly what you'd expect from him: the wine shows the transparency, agility and elegance that has made Lauer one of Germany's most beloved producers.

The Saar has long been a specialist in making sparkling wine, known around here as Sekt. The region's finessed acidity makes it ideal for sparkling wine.

Lauer's Sekt Reserves are by far the greatest expressions of sparkling Riesling that we've tasted. There's a fascinating tension between the acid core and the complexly nuanced richness that comes from the wine's age.

There have been a few releases of Lauer Sekt Reserve - 1990, 1991 and 1993. Out of these, the 1991 has the most acidic cut. The brisk acidity carries notes of slate, flowers and complicated layers of citrus zest.

The fact that you can land the '91 Lauer with all of its age and fascination for the cost of a non-vintage Champagne is just amazing. This is something that I really advise you to check out. Please give us your ideal order and we'll do our best.
