Dujac's wines are emphatic in the impression that they leave, and this separates them from the pack.
They are seamless and hit the senses from nearly every angle. It is simultaneously velvety, stern, and radiantly lifted. It's rare that you get such intensity married to tip-toe finesse that's backed up with a current of earthy minerality.
Clos de la Roche brings this stylistic signature to a dramatic and thrilling conclusion. In any vintage, this is just an epic bottle. Dujac's Clos de la Roche has blown me away on countless occasions.
The 2021 Clos de la Roche has serious impact and a sleek and dazzling core of elegant freshness. Neal Martin's note captures the wine well: "The palate is medium-bodied with finely-sculpted tannins, harmonious and tensile, again, discretely building with a transparent, lightly peppered finish that lingers in the mouth."
There's no denying that, vintage after vintage, Dujac's wines function at a very elite level. There's an intensity and a regal stature to the wines that we love. I'm very happy to offer this.
