Génot-Boulanger's 2019s join their 2017s and 2014s as high notes in an incredible run.
Five years ago, this was a virtually unknown domaine. With the 2014 vintage, collectors took notice. More took notice of their brilliant 2017. Génot-Boulanger is now much more widely known.
The 2019s will surely cement their status as one of the most exciting producers of white Burgundy. In this vintage, Génot-Boulanger's wines are a pitch-perfect expression of the vintage with amazing concentration and clarity.
The 2019 Puligny 1er Cru Folatières really highlights how successful Génot-Boulanger was in this vintage. There's a saturating minerality with a sense of power and grace. Everything is presented with a beautiful harmony.
Génot-Boulanger is a 4th generation family estate currently run by Aude and Guillaume Lavollée. Since they took over in 2008, we've watched the quality at the domaine soar. The combination of prime holdings and meticulous winemaking has recently put Génot-Boulanger on the map for serious Burgundy drinkers.
Over the past few years, there has been no other Burgundy producer that more customers have thanked us for introducing them to than Génot-Boulanger. The 2019 Folatières show them in top form. I'm happy to have another opportunity to offer.

Neal Martin, Vinous Media: "The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru comes from vines located in the lieu-dit of Au Chaniot. It has a vivid bouquet of mineral-rich citrus fruit with lemon curd and light mirabelle aromas. The palate is well balanced with a tangy opening, traces of marmalade and quince and a vibrant, quite concentrated finish. Excellent."
