Pierre-Yves has said that he's learned a lot from previous warm vintages and has fine-tuned harvest times along with how he handles the grapes in the winery. The 2018s testify to how well-judged his strategy was.
The 2018 En Remilly Nicholas et Mathis offers a startling mingling of power, length, and elegance. There's serious breeding on display, along with a salty and stony minerality and soaring floral and citrus notes. You get a rigorous, finely etched core that adds further excitement.
Colin-Morey makes two bottlings from En Remilly. Nicholas et Mathis is the rarer of the two bottlings. It's situated near the Grand Cru site of Chevalier-Montrachet. Compared to Colin-Morey's basic En Remilly, Nicholas et Mathis is deeper and more textural.
