"Infused with tremendous mineral and soil inflections... This release is fabulous" -Antonio Galloni, Vinous
Agrapart's Minéral is one of the most riveting expressions of Chardonnay to be found.
These are some of the most terroir saturated Champagnes being made today. The 2014 Minéral drives this home emphatically.
In any vintage, it's a bottle that more than lives up to its name. It is sourced from two prime lieux-dits with 40-year-old vines grown on the hard, white chalk in Avize and Cramant.
The 2014 Minéral is a very exciting vintage for the wine. It's crystalline, energetic and has a sleek, chalky tension. We love the wine's razor cut, tactile, grip, and fine-ness. Few producers hit this level of finesse, precision, and elegance.
Pascal and Fabrice Agrapart are masters of terroir. Agrapart's are some of the most refined Chardonnays to be found in the Côte des Blancs. I'm always happy to offer Agrapart's Minéral, but the 2014 is a particularly beautiful example of the wine.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media: "The 2014 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Minéral is a powerful, intense Champagne that captures all of the natural power of these old vines in Avize and Cramant. Aptly named, the Minéral is infused with tremendous mineral and soil inflections that give a real feeling of gravitas. Crushed rocks, slate, chalk and citrus accents are some of the many nuances that emerge with a bit of time in the glass. This release is fabulous. It is also a reticent wine, though, so at least a year or two in bottle will help soften."
