Magnums are the ideal format for Champagne. Nothing allows Champagne to age with such freshness and grace. The idea of a Champagne as refined and energetically precise as Agrapart's Mineral out of magnum is really exciting.
The Minéral is one of the most gripping wines of the line-up. It's sourced from two prime selections of 40-year-old vines on the hard, white chalk in Avize and Cramant. This cuvée lives up to its name, bursting with a laser-like minerality.
The 2006 is an especially powerful, delineated and pure edition of this wine. There's an incredible finesse to the layers of minerality and complexity that intermingle with crisp stone fruits. I can remember tasting and loving the 2006 young, but like so many wines from this vintage, it has evolved even better than I would have hoped.
Magnums of Agrapart Mineral are really rare. There are just three other listings in the U.S. and none for 2006. The quantities are tiny. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
