Grand Cru In All But Name - Sharp Pricing:
2022 Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses

Posted by Ian McFadden

Amoureuses is Grand Cru in all but name.

The 1er Cru is priced higher than many Grand Crus, and Burgundy fanatics chase down the wines from here with a singular fervor.

Drouhin turns out one of my favorite Amoureuses. My other favorites, Mugnier and Roumier, cost much more - anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000 per bottle.

Drouhin's jewel box style finds its perfect complement in the Amoureuses. There have been many times that Drouhin's Amoureuses has blown me away. Very few wines are capable of being so riveting.

Their Amoureuses is intense and mind-bendingly complex, but what really makes your head spin is its mesmerizing perfume, its ultra-refined tension, and length.

The 2022 shows Drouhin's Amoureuses in prime form. The wine's breeding, whispering complexity, and ethereal finesse are on bold display. Its precision and purity are breathtaking.

Amoureuses is a small 1er Cru and it's spread over many growers. There is precious little of Drouhin's to go around. This offer is only going to a select group of Burgundy lovers, but please keep in mind that this is a very modestly sized parcel.
