Palo Blanco is based on Listan Blanco (aka Palomino in sherry country). The grape has a fascinating ability for transmitting terroir and Palo Blanco really exploits this characteristic. The wine is focused and has a deeply complex smoky signature.
Palo Blanco is sourced from one-hundred-year-old vines that dig into volcanic soils. The vines are braided following the local tradition called cordón trenzado.
The 2021 Palo Blanco is among the best examples of the wine that we've tasted. It boasts an incredible clarity and a finely etched mineral core. It's racy and simultaneously deep with a gripping stoniness. Expect a luminous thread of acidity, a smoky pulverized rock undercurrent, and citrus and floral high tones.
Few wines are hunted down like Envínate. When you taste the wines, the explanation for the excitement becomes clear. They are some of the most beautifully rendered and fascinating wines around. The Palo Blancos are among the best of the wines that Envínate releases.
