Here Today, Gone Tomorrow Part Two:
2021 Envínate La Santa de Úrsula

Posted by Joe Salamone

Last week, we offered Envínate's 2021 Palo Blanco. Today, we're happy to offer the 2021 La Santa de Úrsula.

This marks the second vintage of the wine. It has already established itself as a formidable red wine in Envínate's lineup.

Based on a field blend of Negramoll, Listán Negro, and Listán Blanco, the 2021 La Santa de Ursula is suavely textured, precise, and has a layered complexity. It really flaunts the verve and completeness of the 2021s at Envínate

La Santa de Ursula comes from three parcels of centenarian vines. The soils are sandy clay over a red basalt. It's vinified with partial carbonic maceration and stem inclusion.

The 2021 has a wild, scorched earth profile. It offers up a vast spectrum of dried herb, spice, smoke, red fruits, and saline notes. Everything is beautifully delineated and amazingly pure.

Before closing, I should underscore that this is a very modest parcel. It feels like a serious luxury to be able to offer this. A quick sell out is very likely.
